Handbuild a clock face and a candle holder using approachable sculpting techniques over four focused days: This class covers an introduction to materials, sketching your design, and building the sculpture using slab, coil, and pinch methods. You will focus on surface decoration, underglaze painting, and a clear or colored glaze application before bisque and final firing. First 3 weeks will be building with the last week set for glazing. This workshop is beginner-friendly though having some basic knowledge would be helpful.

Materials and Firing Fees
Tool Kit: A standard pottery tool kit recommended. Feel free to bring your own or we have them available for purchase at the studio for $20.
Firing Fees: Firing costs are calculated by volume at $0.03 per cubic inch per fire. The total cost for a completed piece requiring both bisque and glaze firings is $0.06 per cubic inch.
Studio Preparation
Attire: Pottery is a messy process. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting dirty.
