Uma Supatra-Campbell has always been drawn to creating tiny things. For the past eight years she has been experimenting in the world of jewelry making. In this workshop you will learn how to make ceramic jewelry, through the hand building styles of slab and pinch. You will learn different techniques of creating surface textures, shapes, and textures - such as printing flowers and leaves into the clay, or hand carving designs. You will work with kiln safe wire and learn to construct jewelry to end the workshop with elegant, unique, wearable creations that you get to take home.
Each participant can make up to 3(!!) sets of earrings, 3 pendants, or 3 necklace pendants (or 1 of each, you mix and choose, 3 items max total, depending on your speed and time). Each individual item should not exceed 1×2 inches in size.
All supplies are provided. Work will be ready to pick up in 3-4 weeks.
