Tuesday Intermediate Wheel 10am - 12:30pm (June 23-August 11th) with Cammi Climaco

$520.00

This eight-week course provides structured instruction in wheel throwing. Instructor Cammi will work with intermediate students looking to refine their wheel-throwing techniques, master larger weights of clay, and experiment with advanced functional forms. Intermediate mean youve taken a class in the past, you dont need to be a master, you just need to know the basics. Class meets weekly on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 AM - 12:30PM, running from June 23-August 11th.

Weekly Schedule & Dates

  • Day: Tuesdays

  • Time: 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM

  • Duration: 8 weeks (June 23 - August 11th)

Included Studio Access

To support skill development outside of instruction, registration includes 2.5 hours of independent open studio time per week. These hours must be utilized during the studio's designated open hours and allow students to practice throwing, trimming, or glazing at their own pace.

Materials and Firing Fees

  • Tool Kit: A standard pottery tool kit is required for the class. Feel free to bring your own or we have them available for purchase at the studio for $20.

  • Firing Fees: Firing costs are calculated by volume at $0.03 per cubic inch per fire. The total cost for a completed piece requiring both bisque and glaze firings is $0.06 per cubic inch.

Studio Preparation

  • Nail Length: Short fingernails are strongly recommended for wheel throwing, as long nails can gouge the clay during centering and pulling.

  • Attire: Pottery is a messy process. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting dirty.
